‘2016 COEX Food Week’, A Global Food Festival Successfully Ended with 52.3 Billion Consultation Records

890 companies from 41 countries around the world participated in global food festival ‘2016 COEX Food Week 2016, and welcomed more than 60 thousands visitors to end successfully last 5th. Buyers from Asia and Europe, total of 324 people from 200 companies of 16 countries, participated in this event, and the consultation record grew 10% from last year, reaching 1,100 cases, and achieved about 52.3 billion won.

'COEX Food Week' exhibited domestic and international food trend beginning from domestic premium agricultural products, overseas local food, bakery and desert, hand craft beer to Korean wine under the subject of 'consumer trend looking for taste'.

Especiallythis year, by suggesting 6 trends on the subjeccts of HMR, food tech, cold cahin, craft beer, food truck and slow food, they welcomed various programs such as food trend planning and exhibition, seminar, conference and cooking show.

'Creative Agriculture Competition' includes experience events that were prepared from many regions and direct selling through the mix of production facilities and consumers from all around the nation. They could reconfirm the excellence of our agricultural products and spent valuable time for leap forward of Korean agriculture.

'ASEAN fair', which introduced various food culture of ASEAN and provided travel information at one place, exhibited local food of ASEAN countries that could be hardly seen before. Especially, commemorating the 50th anniversary of ASEAN in 2017, 'food trip toward ASEAN' introduced live cooking of representative cuisines of 10 countries to win the praise from the visitors. Besides, visitors could experience the local food of many countries as well.

In addition, in '2016 bakery fair and desert show' that was hosted at the same time, they hosted 'Mariage Exhibition' with 'Korean Wine Festival' that the participants could taste the desert that fits well with Korean wine. Not only that, it also included famous overseas technicial invitation session, handmade desert collection and town bakery festival to provide many events that visitors could enjoy. Especially to prove the desert fever of recent days, more than 13,000 people pre-registered to create the prosperity in this bakery fair and desert show.
