Sharp to unveil its new concept of smartbook 'Net Walker'

CHIBA, Japan (AVING Special Report on 'CEATEC JAPAN 2009') -- <Visual News> Sharp unveiled its new concept of smartbook 'Net Walker' during CEATEC JAPAN 2009, which combines smartphone and netbook functions.

Featuring low power consumption, instant-on platform and internet support, the Net Walker adopts USB2.0/mini USB2.0 ports for USB communication adapters. Running on Linux Ubuntu 9.04 OS, it is compatible with Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Open Offce 3.0, Totem video player and Gedit text edit program. Measuring 161.4×108.7×19.724.8mm at 409g, the Net Walker offers up to 10 hours of battery life.
