2021 International Textile Fair - Previewin Daegu (PID May 12-14), the largest textile material business exhibition inKorea hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Daegu Gyeongbuk Textile IndustrialAssociation (DGTIA), will pre-open the online business strengthening program“PID Online Business Day” to correspond to COVID-19 pandemic on the websitefrom April 20.
PID Online Business Day is a showroom-typemarket platform prepared for the COVID era that offers corporate promotionalvideos, product exhibitions, and sourcing consultations to overseas buyers from20 countries who cannot visit Korea. Opening from April 20 to May 21 before thePID exhibition starts in May, the organizer hopes it maximizes the businessboom-up effect.
PID has made new attempts to providesupport in online business environment and expand the market by offeringstand-by e-mail consultation between overseas buyers and exhibitors, requestsfor samples, and searches by categories/usage/functions of textile products,and also supports remote video consultation with pre-matched overseas buyers.
One-hundred seventy Korean companies,including Hyosung T&C, Youngwon Trading, Seong-an, Youngdo Velvet, and OneChang Material, and 24 overseas companies from China, Taiwan, India, andSwitzerland will participate in this exhibition. In the online exhibition,major items from the exhibiters will be introduced to overseas buyers.
Especially for this year, “PID 3D VirtualExhibition Hall” has been prepared so that visitors can view the actualexhibition online in a more realistic and immersive way. In the “3D VirtualExhibition Center,” information and material search for each company was madepossible through links to major PID companies and trend forum pavilions, andvideo media wall and PID online exhibition link, and recently, a virtualexhibition hall was built by using the special realistic spatial solution forvirtual exhibition.
Choi Hee-song, Vice Chairman of DGTIA said,″By opening PID 2021 due to open next month, we are making our best effort tohelp the textile companies in Korea that are suffering from the recessioncaused by COVID-19 to find new sales channels in Korea and overseas. We arealso doing last-minute preparation for complete quarantine to make the tradeshow safe.”
