ChemiSky(www.evaporator.co.kr) introduced its thin film evaporator at 'KOREA CHEM 2014(The 6th Chemical Plant Equipment & Processing Exhibition)' from 10th to 13th at KINTEX.
Introduced in this Expo, thin film evaporator raises the evaporation rate by creating a thin film over the desired liquid mixture through physical force to maximize the contact surface of the liquid mixture and the heat source. Also, the ability to lower the boiling point of the matter through vacuum distillation is basically included.
Thin film evaporator is used to separate the substance that is being changed and separated because of the heat through minimizing the contact with heat source, and to separate the substance with a smaller amount of energy by maximizing the contact area of the desired substance and the heat source.
In order to use the thin film evaporator, firstly the liquid mixture to be injected needs to be in a liquid state. Secondly, if the liquid mixture contains a solid state substance, then a specially designed equipment needs to be used. Thirdly, basically, the two substance's boiling point difference (△T) needs to be greater than 20~30℃. Fourthly, if there is a fear of Azeotropic because of the small difference in the boiling point of two substances, then it needs to be separated by applying fractional distillate column and using a hybrid thin film evaporator.
