REBORN DUTCH COFFEE (www.reborncoffee.com) has participated in the '12th Seoul Café Show' that is scheduled to be open from 21st to 24th of this month at the Seoul COEX, introducing the 'Premium Dutch coffee' and the 'Ribbon Dutch coffee', made from 100% Arabica germinated coffee beans.

The brand name RE: BORN means remaking the coffee through the process of germination, cleaning, drying, roasting. The ribbon Dutch coffee picked the cleanest new crop as the most important requirement in making a good coffee. To achieve this, good quality beans needs to be secured, and after the cleaning, the defect beans are separated and put into the process of germination, which is a patented method of magnetized active hydrogen use. Finally, when the silver skin of the beans and pectin (phlegmatic material) is removed, the healthy germinated beans are obtained.
Park Kyung Bae, professor of natural sciences, claimed that the coffee that went through the germination process have more active ingredient and have an evenly spread amino acid, making the coffee taste more rich and deep when roasted. With the existing method of drying/wetting method, it is hard to terminate all the alien substances on the bean, resulting in an unpleasant smell and taste. Germination is a core technology of Ribbon Coffee, which have also solved the problem of the remaining agricultural pesticides on the crops.
And this is how the Ribbon Dutch coffee is made, by combining the technology with well-optimized beans. Coffee is science. It has to be healthy before considering the taste, and it is good when the scent and taste are balanced.
Ribbon Dutch Coffee produces three kinds of single origin Dutch coffee, Colombian, Guatemalan, Ethiopean. The Colombian supremo of a mild taste provides a balanced taste under any roasting.
Guatemalan is a smoked coffee with its unique burning scent. The rich combination of sweet and sour body-taste is its characteristics. The Ethiopean Yirgacheffe smells of delicate flower and tropical fruit, and the flavor is combined of mild sourness and a dignified taste.
Dutch coffee is enjoyable in many recipes. 'Dutch Americano' is made by a 1:3 proportion of undiluted solution and water. 'Dutch Latte', is made by diluted milk, and 'Dutch on a rock' could be made just by filling the glass with ice.
Ribbon Dutch Coffee is currently supplying to Pusan Hyatt Hotel, and waiting a store opening near the city hall and Hongik Univ. station. It is also available at online shopping malls.
