The Elga(representative Lee Jong Do, www.thelga.kr) have participated in the '12th Seoul Café Show' that is scheduled to be open from 21st to 24th of this month at the Seoul COEX, introducing three types of espresso blending 'Zebra', 'Black Hat', and 'One Piece'.
The Elga is a famous café known for its directly roasted fresh coffee beans and the melon ice-dessert, made by personally boiled red (adzuki) beans.
Elga coffee introduced three kinds of blending. 'Zebra Espresso Blending' have used Kenyan, Guatemalan and Ethiopian ethio beans. It has a sweetness like a fresh, well-done fruit and a rich aroma of flower, and a sour aftertaste like wine.
Kenyan and Ethiopian Harrar beans have been used to make the 'Black hat Espresso Blending'. Its specialties are the rich scent of coffee and chocolate and the mild, soft sourness. The heavy body and the flavor of biscuit could be felt.
'One Piece Espresso Blending' has used Kenyan and Ethiopian Koke beans and have a scent of a ripe mandarin, apple, rose and a lemon. A fresh flavor of peach and an apricot is its specialty and has a moderate body felt and a long lasting taste.
The franchise business that the Elga Coffee is managing is different from the usual method of big franchises, which is not a monopolized management by the head office, but it aims to compete with big franchises by the autochthonic competiveness of the branch retail and allied stores. For differentiation, it uses Organic/Hand-made/Home-made fresh ingredients and by an active communication like coffee education and a mutual menu technology transfer, it is growing into a systematic alliance.
The '12th Seoul café show'that is hosted by EXPORUM and COFFEERO contains all beverage, liquor, bakery, ice cream, raw material, equipment facilities, chocolate, appetizer, dessert, café interior, franchise foundation, kitchen electric appliances, restaurant industry related products and services, and it will be open at the same time with variety of contests including 'korean barista championship', 'master of cupping contest', 'korean chocolatier contest' and the 'World coffee Leaders Forum 2013'.
