The Ministry of Environment (ME) and Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KETRI) supports environmental company that has the potential for growth in global market. It selects the leading environmental company and designates a flagship company in the environmental industry. It aids them in banking, exports, human resources, marketing and other support package in order to compete in the oversea markets. As a goal to enhance market expansion both domestically and internationally, ME and KETRI organized the '2013 Leading Environmental Company Support and Designation'.
Leading environmental company pertains to companies in the environmental industry that possesses superior environmental technology and outstanding business achievements in domestic market. And, has shown potential for growth and outstanding standards to withstand global competitive market.
In related to this, AVING News and KETRI co-organized an interview with C.E.O Song Hyo-soon of Eco-Energy Holdings. Eco-Energy Holdings was selected as '2013 Leading Environmental Company'.
Eco-Energy Holdings is a company that invests in renewable energy projects, constructs facilities, produce energy and methane gas, and mainly deals with sales of technologies. It also possesses outstanding level of operational capability and maintenance of power plants.
Since 1989, it had continuous growth through in-house R&D and constructed the world largest 50 MW steam turbine electricity plant. Through the steam turbine electricity plant, Eco-Energy Holding have been doing business with Gumi and Changwon that are in the renewable energy industry. It boasts the recognition of being the leading domestic environmental company.
Eco-Energy Holdings worked together with government, organizations, and corporate to establish Special Purpose Company for management of landfill sites and to produce fuel for vehicles through wastes. It has invested heavily into R&D and facilities to create a momentum in time for the Pyeonchang Olympics.
