Designed to provide a view of a city of Daegu and Gyeongbuk's futures as the state of the art IT industry, 'LED & Display Exhibition',
'Korea IT Convergence Expo 2012' and 'Information Display International Conference(IMD)' every four years in Daegu definitely showed the status of Daegu and Gyeongbuk as the high-tech industrial city and closed with an expectation of better next year on August 31.
Two exhibitions, respectively open until last year, would be concurrently held by EXCO from this year. So the exhibition had 600 booths of 200 companies with 1.5times larger scale compared to previous years. And a variety of high-technology products in field of mobile, display and LED were displayed to show the high quality level of Daegu, Gyeongbuk's IT-related industries at a glance.
During 3days, 11,000 people of domestic and foreign buyers visited; they are except for the general public and students and including 600 visitors. In addition, the result was obtained by the efforts of the round exhibit operation such as a collection of expert groups through 12 seminars in the field of IT security and LED technology, export consultations with overseas buyers, the field trips on Gumi industrial Complex IT companies and attracting visitors through organic cooperation with industry associations.
Due to typhoon 'BOLAVEN' brought in preparation period for the show, 11 companies of Qingdao, China, arrived at 5:00 in the morning on the opening day of the exhibition and the two Japanese companies arrived at 5:00 PM on the opening day. Like that, many overseas companies arranged temporary flights to attend.
Joining after much meandering and leading suppliers, Li xi hao yun, officials of Qingdao City Bureau of Commerce Dept in China, expressed "Despite of hard participation, we spent time getting many achievements and rewarding. We will strength exchanges with various exhibitions to be held in Daegu in the future." Like this, initiating economic exchange vitalization with sister friendship city was another performance of this event, organizers said.
Meanwhile, the next exhibition is decided to hold with IMID, 27 to 29 August, next year.
