SEOUL, Korea (AVING Special Report on 'PHOTO&IMAGING 2011') -- <Visual News> On 25, Canon Korea Consumer Imaging (representative Dong-Hwan Kang www.canon-ci.co.kr) said they finished the exhibition in very positive response by audience at the 'PHOTO&IMAGING 2011(P&I 2011)' held at COEX, Seoul, on April 21~24.
In this exhibition, Canon displayed total 90 types and 374 products comprising all the product range including 16 new products of s/s of 2011, DSLR, compact camera, lens, photo printer, etc.
Canon exhibition booth, which already started to be crowded from the morning on the beginning day 21, attracted more than 70600 visitors. This is 10% higher than the former year. Furthermore, introduction leaflets equipped on the exhibition as a present were unexpectedly out of stock due to a number of visitors that they had to get extras and supply them, which shows a great interest of visitors.
Canon exhibition room of P&I 2011 dragged attentions even before the show began because it's composed to experience Canon's high-class optic technology in celebration of producing 60 million EF lens globally. For this reason, where the most people visited was 'optic technology zone', run for a first time since Canon started to take part in P&I. Optic technology zone shows different products using Canon's lens from compact camera to broadcasting camera.
Also, the reason that Canon could get a favorable response was they focused on 'making people experience products', not just showing them. Among them, 'EF lens zone' got a high popularity because people could experience different luxurious lens which is unusual to approach in daily life. 'High-speed zone' and 'telephoto lens zone' also flowed in and out with visitors, designed for people to use Canon's products conveniently.
'Compact camera • camcorder zone' and 'DSLR camera zone' offered novel viewing by models showing 'the house of Barbie' and 'memorable scenes from movies'. Canon, especially, aroused a fresh sensation by letting visitors to see an adult model and a child model together.
Meanwhile, Canon exhibition provided another thing to enjoy for visitors by proceeding participating events like 'quiz show' and 'performing photo-shooting missions'. For event participants various gifts such as ticket 'to the ultimate tundra', 'EF L lens shaped mug cup', and the like were offered.
