
SEOUL, Korea (AVING Special Report on 'PHOTO&IMAGING 2011') -- <Visual News> Cameras for women are trend these days. Wherever we go, it's not hard to see women carrying cameras. Ultra-light cameras, different from existing heavy and solid-looking cameras, and cameras with refined design and special functions are popular nowadays.
Cameras targeting women were introduced en masse at the 'PHOTO&IMAGING 2011(P&I 2011)' held at COEX, Seoul, Korea on April 21~24.
Olympus 'XZ-1' has an art-filter function with intuitive interface, enabling even beginners to shoot professionally with a simple function.
Canon is winning women's heart by displaying 'EOS110D' in red, brown and black color, which is countering to black DSLR. 'EOS600D', especially, is useful when shooting a self-image because it can shoot with seeing a screen from the angle where it used to be impossible to shoot by oneself without seeing a screen.
Samsung's 'NX100' supports manual functions that can follow up DSLR. Especially, 'i-function' makes possible to work simultaneously in well-organized condition when shooting and setting because one can control menu by pushing 'ifn' button with a hand which grabs a zoom.
In Nikon's 'D5100', 'special effect mode' catches attention. Sketch color, a model function of special effect mode, shows object in caricature. Also, multi-angle screen can move up to 270 degrees that it's shootable from any angle with seeing a screen.
Nikon, in particular, proceeds 'W, a photo story of Women', in a same theme with childcare, travel, daily life, interior which can drag women's attentions, 3 times a day(twice on 24) for four days of exhibition, 11 times in total.
