Since the spread of COVID-19, the equipment industry is eying on Daegu Machinery Expo 2020, the biggest event in the machinery industry to be held in Korea. At Daegu Machinery Expo, where the "next production and manufacturing strategy" will be shared, three expos, Daegu Automatic Machinery Expo, Parts & Materials Show, and Daegu Robot Expo, will be integrated, and it will be held Nov. 24-27 at EXCO exhibition hall on the first floor. Despite the canceling and reduction of major trade shows due to COVID, this exhibition will be held in 597-booth scale by 240 companies.
Daegu Automatic Machinery Expo presents smart factory solutions and automation technology guides for expanding production efficiency
Hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and
organized by Daegu Gyeongbuk Machinery Cooperative, 106 companies will
participate in Daegu Automatic Machinery Expo (DAMEX 2020) in 317 booths to
promote intelligent and automated solutions and related products in the
production and manufacturing process. DAMEX 2020 was organized into six
specialty halls, Factory Automation, Smart Factory, Tools, Logistics and
Packaging Machines, Machine Tools, and Control Instruments to deliver more
useful automation technology and related solutions to increase production
efficiency.
At the Machine Tool hall, Eshimtech will be
showing its 5-axis high-speed machining center optimized for precise and
complex structures, and Daesung Hitech and Nicemach will be exhibiting NOMURA's
automatic shelves. Also, in the factory automation hall, Samick THK, the number
one guide and ball screw manufacturer and sales company in Korea, Duksan
Cotran, which is about to launch a non-face-to-face sterilizer suitable for
COVID-19 era, and IGM Service Korea and HJ PNC, welding robot specializing
companies confirmed participation in the show.
Especially in DAMEX 2020, as the need to
advance smart manufacturing innovation and industrial ecosystem has grown due
to changes in the global value chain caused by COVID-19, 29 companies in
45-booth scale formed the smart factory special hall to improve the
understanding of smart factories and share the cases of successful
implementation. Daegu Technopark Daegu Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center
plans to participate in the special hall to promote the construction cases of
269 companies that supported the construction and advancement of smart
factories. And, a joint hall will be formed by 21 companies including Daegu Smart
Factory Supply Association to share support policies and the implementation
know-how.
Parts & Materials Show 2020, a venue for cooperation between institutions and companies to strengthen the competitiveness of small parts companies
Parts & Materials Show 2020, hosted by
Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do and organized by EXCO, is the
largest parts and materials exhibition in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area in its 15th
year. A total of 89 companies participated in 128 booths to display mechanical
& auto parts, electric & electronic parts, metal & chemical
materials, and ceramic related products.
Also in this exhibition, a large number of
local organizations formed a joint hall to participate in this exhibition to
enhance the competitiveness of the parts and materials industry and to
strengthen the convergence ecosystem of related companies. In Daegu Technopark,
the Nano Convergence Practicalization Center has organized a joint hall with 12
companies in Daegu area including carbon and ceramic materials and parts
manufacturers, and automobile parts manufacturers, and the corporate support
group is participating in 8-booth scale joint hall made up of Sensor Solution,
Capro, Fe G Tec, Hansung Aluminum will be participating.
Also, Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL)
and Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute (DMI) joined forces to foster
door hardware manufacturing industry and formed a joint hall with door hardware
companies in the regions such as Ace Innotech, Doowon TEG, DWADS, Suntech, M
hardware, Hyundai Minuteness, and World Cross. Also, the co-organizer KEIT
formed the Regional Win-win Cooperation Center with Daegu and Gyeongbuk
regional companies like Bexel, IVT, Livingcare Development of Materials,
S&S Tech, Korea Clad Tech, CIS, and Daehan Metal. As such, this year's
Parts & Materials Show prepared the mutual cooperation with companies.
Daegu Robot Expo, the exhibition to present the global manufacturing robot technology and the trend in the robot market that will lead the manufacturing innovation in the non-face-to-face era
At Daegu Robot Expo (ROBEX 2020) in its
ninth run, latest manufacturing robot technology will be used for various
processes such as assembly, processing, testing, transport, and packaging to
improve efficiency in manufacturing line and work environment.
In ROBEX 2020, major conglomerates such as
Hyundai Robotics, Korea Yaskawa Electric, Stäubli, and Epson and 45 industrial
robot companies such as Ajin Extek, SV Tech, UND, and Oto Robotics will
participate in 152-booth scale will showcase industrial robots, service robots,
robot parts, robot SI, and drones. Also, in Daegu Mechatronics & Materials
Institute prepared the joint hall for the robot companies in the region to
create the robot market and strengthen the competitiveness of robot parts.
Hyundai Robotics, the number one industrial
robot company in Korea, is displaying the cooperative robot (YL012), which won
the Best of Best Award at the 2019 Red Dot Award, and the display module shop
robot training facility that can operate transportation, product verification,
peeling, and inspection processes with one robot. Also, global company Yaskawa
will introduce Motomini, the world's smallest robot that can perform handling
and assembly work and Stäubli from Switzerland will introduce TX2 Safety and
Touch Safety Robot, the fastest and safest industrial robots that can work with
people in this show for the first time in Korea.
As ROBEX 2020 is spotlighted as the best
industrial robot exhibition in Korea, the interest of overseas robot demand and
suppliers are also growing. Epson is participating in ROBEX 2020 for the first
