Being the mecca for new technology research in electronic communication in Korea, ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) participated in the advanced communication EXPO and introduced the future of communication.
ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications
Research Institute) participated in the 18th International LED & OLED EXPO
2020 in KINTEX on Nov. 11-13 and announced the research result of the overall
communication industry in Korea.
ETRI's field of research is related to
communication, and it is conducting research and development on software,
hardware, and parts and materials. It is contributing to the development of
Korea's telecommunications technology and telecommunications industry by
transferring new technologies acquired in this way to companies and
governments.
It has also developed the 4 mega DRAM and
TDX switch that played a epoch-making role in the history of
telecommunications. The researcher focusing on the field of optical
communications and wireless communications is currently leading the market by
developing 4G, 5G, and 6G technologies. It collaborates with large companies
and share results by carrying out long-term and large-scale tasks that
companies cannot handle.
Han Sang-pil, a senior researcher at the
event, said, "In the Daedeok Research Complex, we have the largest number
of researchers in this area, and we are promoting national R&D, corporate
consignment projects, and global planning projects in all fields related to
electronic communication."
This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry
of Trade, Industry and Energy, LED Industry Forum, and KOTRA and is hosted by
EXPO&U. The exhibition items are LEDs & LED Lighting Products, LED
Chips / LED Components, Accessories & Raw Materials, LED Signage & LED
Displays, Micro-LED Allied Products, UV(Ultra-Violet) LED Applications, LED
Applications, LED Manufacturing Equipment / Machinery / Fixtures & Allied
Products, Testing Laboratories & Research Organization, and Smart Light
Building.
