PEC will be showcasing its mobile emergency exhaust technology for handling chemical accidents at 2019 Korea Innovative Safety and Security Expo held in KINTEX 1 on Sep. 25-27.
The mobile emergency exhaust technology
exhibited at the show is a technology that prevents the spread and exposure of
chemical gases by quickly injecting emergency chemical emission vehicles in the
event of toxic gas emissions.
Three-stage multi-neutralization/oxidation
treatment system and repeated regeneration type metal catalyst neutralization
adsorption optimized for the treatment of leaked hazardous chemicals for 19
gaseous substances (hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, hydrogen chloride, etc.)
specified by the Ministry of Environment is applied, and real-time monitoring
system can enables immediate checking of processing efficiency.
PEC conducted R&D on environmental technology development project in response to chemical accidents by the Ministry of Environment to produce innovative research results, and it is promoting the project with the aim of minimizing the reduction of environmental damage by responding quickly to hazardous chemical spills.
An official of PEC said, "We expect that the emergency exhaust technology introduced at the Safety Industry Expo will be commercialized and the environmental damage caused by the accident of hazardous chemicals can be minimized."
