The "Gyeobi" brand, a joint brand of the union, will showcase Western-style clothes with traditional Korean clothes (Hanbok) forms at the mission to China.
If previous "life clothes" were clothes that changed the Hanbok line for comfortable wearing, "Gyeobi" are regular Western-style clothes made of traditional Korean materials and accessories that have added Korean beauty.
Gyeobi pulled a positive response at the Pret-a-Porter and 2009 Fashion Shanghai by imprinting Korean beauty to people worldwide. Taking this as an opportunity, the company plans to expand its consumer class by producing various lines.
Director Won Hye-eun of the union said, "Just like Japan's Issei Miyake, Taiwan's Sanghaiten, and Thailand's Jim Thompson, which succeeded at modernizing traditional clothes of their country into global brands, we will knock the world market with the "Gyeobi" brand and its feel intrinsic to Korea."
