Sony Korea introduced their IP-based 4K Live along with many products to expand their HDR line to fit their theme of 'Beyond Definition' in KOBA 2016, held in Coex Hall A, C and D from May 24th (Tue) to 27th (Fri).
The industry for 4K Sports line-up equipment is moving towards the IP-based workflow; thus Sony introduced their end-to-end 4K production workflow and 4K HDR production that keeps the original workflow, but improves it so where users can smoothly navigate from shooting to delivery, "right now", Sony announced.
Sony Korea displayed their 4K 2/3 Type Image Sensor and XDCAM 4K Shoulder Camcorder PXW-Z450 which utilizes the world's first B4 Mount Lens System.
PXW-Z450 has a new 2/3 inch type Exmor R™ CMOS Sensor that can shoot to a quality of 60P 4K (3480 by 2160) resolutions. Using their SxS card, it can record all of 4K XAVC Intra/Long GOP Codec.
PXW-Z450 is projected to be in the market in 2016, aimed to be used in industries like documentary, entertainment, and news coverage to propel the conversion of 4K in broadcasting networks.
HDC-4300, with world's first three 2/3 type precision 4K image sensor integrated into the product, already has been introduced worldwide to various broadcasting companies to be used for 4K and 4K HDR. Sony plans to add on a Live HDR feature in mid-2016.
To provide the same functions as an HD production, 4K Production Switcher XVS-8000 can support up to 5ME along with 40 input / 10 output functions, which is the highest standard in 4K production, along with a hybrid 4K VMU SDI and IP interface that users can customize to fit their needs.
Sony Korea also introduced their medium-sized VMU XVS-7000 and small-sized VMU SVS-6000, so that the users can choose the products to match their system structure.
Meanwhile, KOBA 2016 is hosted by KOREA E & EX and The Korea Broadcasting Engineers & Technicians Association, aiming to advance and improve Korean broadcasting culture, video, audio and light industry. World Media Forum, International Conference and Technology Seminar, and other various broadcasting equipment events will also take place at the same time.
