Codex displayed their Codex Presents Codex Production Suite in KOBA 2016, held in Coex Hall A, C and D from May 24th (Tue) to 27th (Fri).
Codex Production Suite is a one-in-all editor designed to suit any production budget, supporting both raw and compressed camera formats. Among the key features of Codex Production Suite are a range of powerful color management and color grading tools. CDLs and LUTs can be imported and processed so that externally-created "looks" can be applied, either overall or on a shot-by-shot basis. For example, if a color adjustment was made on one clip, users can save the presets to apply to another.
One of Codex's hardware readily integrates with the Codex Capture Drive Dock or Capture Drive 2.0 Drive to enable fast and efficient copying of camera original negative to a hard drive. With its simple plug-and-import features with Codex integration features, fast color management and grading is possible, especially for big production.
Codex Capture Drive also has powerful tools for metadata checking, fixing and appending, allowing metadata to be attached to dailies for increased efficiency in post-production, and QC tools enable users to flag any issues, making notes and generating a detailed QC report, with or without thumbnails.
Meanwhile, KOBA 2016 is hosted by KOREA E & EX and The Korea Broadcasting Engineers & Technicians Association, aiming to advance and improve Korean broadcasting culture, video, audio and light industry. World Media Forum, International Conference and Technology Seminar, and other various broadcasting equipment events will also take place at the same time.
