You've got a great education content to sell, but didn't know how to sell it to overseas market. But now, there is a good news. Onix Media, the content distributor based in Korea, has finally made it to the Asian market. We have interviewed the CEO Shin Sungwon to find out all about it.

Q. What does Onix mean?
Onix stands for "Online Network Information eXchange." It is the network framework or the gateway that provides a wide array of multimedia content and information and IT/IoT convergence service. Our mission is to promote high-quality content to the global market through multinational companies, which we made partnership with.
Q. What kind of contents are you currently distributing?
Our main target is in the infants to pre-school range. Topics of contents we distribute include English, Korean, mathematics, cognition, creativity, and emotion development. We have signed licensing contracts with the makers of these contents, and we have around 5,000 contents that we can currently distribute.

Q. Which are the global channels you distribute the contents through?
We have made child education content channels with Vietnam's GNC Media Viettel, and Vinaphone. With this network, we were able to sign distribution contracts with Bigstar Global and other smart learning solution developers. Bigstar Global is a Korean company that specializes in child education content development, and it is distributing about 430 English education contents through us.
Q. Tell us the strength of ONIX Media as a global content hub.
We have four ways of distributing our client's contents, which are B2B, B2C, education network, and telecommunication network. By using this infrastructure, we can take the lead in Southeast Asian market, where the possibility of growth is enormous. Some of our contents are also available in education toys, making us a provider of O2O service as well. Also, we have a sole proprietorship for distribution BrainNow and Saypen overseas, and their products are receiving great reviews.

Q. What is your next global market?
We are going to zone in on 12 Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Cambodia, Lao, and Myanmar. Within this year to next year, we are going to make more partnerships with Korean content providers and strengthen our position in Vietnam. We are also working on distributing contents that are not education like film, drama, game, and sports.
