'2016 International Textile Fair(Preview in Daegu, PID)' opens its great curtain at EXCO, Daegu today which is hosted by Daegu metropolitan city and Gyeongsangbuk-do and run by Daegu Gyeongbuk Textile Industrial Association.
As DIP greets its 15th fair, 326 domestic and global companies attended to show various technology and idea including textile, industrial fusion material, eco-friendly and bio-health material.
272 domestic companies like Hyosung, Kolon Fashion Material, Huvis, Youngone and Startex participated in the fair and 54 global companies of 12 nations including China, Taiwan, India, Japan, U.S., Italy, France, Germany, Middle East, Uzbekistan also attended the fair to find the new method and show strong will to survive in extended depression.
Major materials that was launched at this fair were functional fabric, based on heating, cold fiber, antibacterial, deodorization, anti-static electricity and etc and fashion materials of new concept which have natural emotion and aesthetic impression.
Representative products in neat, natural dyeing, digital printing and textile design field are also exhibited to enhance the status of the Korea's biggest and comprehensive textile fair and to show the change of sourcing environment and market trend.
At this exhibition, 'Brand Promotion Booth' is run to promote the local fabric and fashion brand. Exhibiting 27 brand products that are categorized by various strategies like fashion design, sports, outdoor and functional uniform, PID can inform the competitiveness of 'Made in Daegu' brand to domestic and global buyers and find the growth potential as a 'Glocal Brand.'
In industrial fabric case, 'Fusion Textile Industry Booth' is made and major companies like Korea Textile Development Institute, Dyetec Institution, Institute of Natural Dyeing Material, Busan Institute of Footwear & Leather Technology, Korea Association of Tech Textile Industry show composite material fabric that is needed in various industrial field, including automobile, vessel, civil engineering, construction, electric, electronic, environment, energy and bio-health.
DIP invited major global sourcing managers like MYM of Vingroup in Vietnam, American Apparel, Bebe Studio and 32Degrees in U.S., MCS and Stella McCartney in Italy, Cotton in Turkey and Takisada in Japan. They also invited major 25 global buyers like Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Beijing, Shangai, Ningbo, Shenzhen and Guangzhou which are noted as emerging markets.
DIP raised the expectation about site obtain order through 'Matching Up and Textile Export Conference' which is a matching program for 40 major global buyers and domestic companies.
Not only domestic large clothing brands including Eland, LG Fashion, Fashion Group Hyungji, All for You, Baba Fashion, Inthef, Beaucre Merchandising and Basic House but also material buyers of Dongdaemun Mall and Kwangjang Market attended the fair to make direct dealing briskly.
Meanwhile, '20th KORTEX 2012,' '2016 TEXPO' and 'Textile + Fashion Collaboration Buying Show' was opened at the same time to add professionalism as a global textile event that domestic and global industry and industrial streams exchange their professional knowledge and information.
