Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, "Power Generation Korea 2015", the largest power plant equipment and infrastructure exhibition, will run for three days from Tuesday the 20th to Thursday the 22nd in Hall C at COEX.
The exhibition will be held simultaneously with the "20th Seoul International Electric Fair". Six power corporations will participate in the event, and introduce convergence infrastructures, including power generation, transmission and distribution, nuclear power, and railway power.
With 210 companies running 500 booths, the exhibition will have opportunities for workers from the power generation equipment field to exchange information about export markets.
The event's displayed items include nuclear equipment and services, energy info and tech, generator safety devices, renewable energy equipment and services, water and sewage, boilers, heat exchangers, burner systems, tanks and containers, and generators and accessories.
Some main additional events include a purchase information session with power corporations, conferences for mutual growth and electrical disaster prevention, a new foreign technology seminar, and an export consultation with invited foreign buyers from the Middle East.
During the exhibition, an export consultation will be held to provide necessary information to 70 companies from 27 countries and 160 foreign buyers from 34 countries.
In particular, on the 21st, the day after the export consultation, a purchase information session is slated to begin. One hundred seventy-four purchasing agents from KOSEP (exhibition's host), KHNP, KOMIPO, KOWEPO, KOSPO and EWP will conduct a purchasing information session and run 75 booths for power plant equipment manufacturers in support of small and medium size companies.
Furthermore, with "Korea Smart Grid Expo" held simultaneously, there will be various conferences, including the HVDC Conference, which introduces domestic and international HVDC technology and policy issues, and the Power Generation Conference, which showcases the latest domestic and international nuclear, steam, complex, and renewable energy technologies.
