EH Solution (CEO Yoon Dae-yeong, www.ehsolution.co.kr) presented the MPCS with total phosphate treatment coagulant dosing method at the 37th International Exhibition on Environmental Technology & Green Energy (ENVEX 2015), which runs Jun. 2-5 at COEX.
The MPCS (monitoring and proportional control system) is a system that can automatically control the amount of coagulant for phosphate removal at total phosphate treatment facilities. It measures the phosphate's value in influent wastewater and water volume. According to those measurements, the usage rate of coagulant is calculated in real time.
The system stabilizes the total phosphate value in effluent water, and dramatically decreases coagulant consumption and sludge production. Compared to existing systems, it can save more than 40 percent on coagulant costs.
The system uses many different technologies, including change-prediction technology of phosphate concentration in wastewater, high-turbid wastewater filtration technology, automatic analysis technology for efficiency in phosphate coagulant removal, and flow-rate prediction technology according to retention time.
With an embedded phosphate analyzer, it can measure the water's phosphate concentration every 15 minutes. Moreover, it possesses a pretreatment function to measure phosphate concentration in wastewater of MLSS 5,000.
A total of 250 companies from 22 different countries participated in the exhibition, including 181 domestic and 69 international companies, with many from the United States, China, Japan, and Europe.
At the event, 2,000 new environmental technologies and eco-friendly products are on display. These products are expected to lead the environment industry.
