Dongil Canvas Engineering (CEO Woo Hyeon-jik, www.canvaskorea.com) unveiled an automatic membrane filter press at the 37th International Exhibition on Environmental Technology & Green Energy (ENVEX 2015), which runs Jun. 2-5 at COEX.
The press' process begins by putting sludge between the filters. After solids and the filtrate are separated via push-in and pressurization processes, a movable filter cloth completely separates the cake. Also, the movable filter cloth cleans automatically, thus eliminating any clogging.
The new filter press has adopted an articulated chain operation method. It can more easily transfer a filter plate than existing presses by excluding a hexagonal shaft and gear structures.
It has short cycle hours and malfunctions are a rarity because of a simple reversal structure of the filter cloth. In addition, maintenance is simple, as it contains a whole-chamber concurrent discharge system and a whole-filter cloth cleaning system.
This system has wide applications, such as the filtration of industrial waste water, car washing, dyeing, paper manufacturing, plating, polishing, and filtration in manufacturing and dehydration processes.
The company has also introduced the Stab Thickener. Its rotor is structured with a cylinder and screens that are attached radially at regular intervals. Sludge is fed as the rotor spins, and the moisture from it condenses the discharged sludge.
A total of 250 companies from 22 different countries participated in the exhibition, including 181 domestic and 69 international companies, with many from the United States, China, Japan, and Europe.
At the event, 2,000 new environmental technologies and eco-friendly products are on display. These products are expected to lead the environment industry.
