The 2015 Environment Industry Job Fair was co-hosted by the Ministry of Environment (Minister Yoon Seong-kyu) and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (president Kim Yong-joo) in Hall B at COEX on Jun. 2.
This fair is in its sixth year and it was prepared to give opportunities to both small businesses and young people, allowing for meetings between domestic environmental companies and environmental experts. Small businesses can hire professionals, and job applicants can get information about job openings.
Starting this June, the fair will be held twice more in Gwangju in September and Seoul in October.
Eighty outstanding environmental companies participated in the fair, both on- and off-line. The firms are planning to hire about 100 young people.
The fair provides various programs, including one-on-one job consultations, mock job interviews, and resume preparation.

More information about the participating companies can be found on ECOJOB (www.ecojob.re.kr). It provides employment support service for jobseekers and companies.
At the last Environment Industry Job Fair, a total of 340 companies participated. More than 1,900 people had job interviews and 301 landed a job successfully.
"This fair will be a meaningful event that provides an opportunity for environmental companies to hire outstanding individuals and for jobseekers to find new positions," said Section Chief Lee Seung-hwan, of the Environmental Industry Division of the Ministry of Environment.

A total of 250 companies from 22 different countries participated in the exhibition, including 181 domestic and 69 international companies, with many from the United States, China, Japan, and Europe.
At the event, 2,000 new environmental technologies and eco-friendly products are on display. These products are expected to lead the environment industry.
