SEOUL, Korea (AVING Special Report on 'GNGWC 2007') -- <Visual News> Korea IT International Cooperation Agency of Silicon Valley, a Korean government agency dedicated to promote MMO(Massively Multiplayer Online)-based games developed in South Korea, invites U.S. based online gamers to the ‘Game and Game World Championship(GNGWC) 2007’. GNGWC is an international event that is attracting the attention of gamers around the world as well as the game industry with its unparalleled international contest of Korean-produced online games.
GNGWC hosted by KIPA, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Information and Communication(MIC) of the Government of Republic of Korea, was originally founded to promote Korean online games to the global gamers and let them experience the resulting excellence of the Korean online games. Continuing from last year’s tradition, GNGWC 2007 allows all Korean global service online game developers with global service capability to enter. There have been six Korean online games selected as the official games of GNGWC 2007, and information on GNGWC schedules can be found on its web site(www.gngwc.com).
This year’s competition that has begun with an online preliminary round in July will be followed by regional finals from August to November in such countries as the United States, Japan, Germany, and Vietnam. The final championship game will be held on December 1st during the ‘SoftExpo & Digital Content Fair 2007’ in Seoul, Korea. The US country regional final competition will be held at Cyberia Internet Café on Saturday, October 20, 2007.
