DAIWHA will participate in the 36th Korea
International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2021) which will run
Mar. 18-21 to showcase its new drug infusion pump and energy device system.
DAIWHA celebrated its 42nd anniversary this
year. Starting with the introduction of the world's leading medical devices in
Korea in 1979, it is a medical device specialist that makes medical devices
with its own technology with electric surgery equipment in the late 1980s,
pharmaceutical infusion pumps in the mid-1990s, and energy device systems for
surgery. DAIWHA CEO Yoon Dae-young served as CEO at GE Healthcare Korea from
1999 to 2007, and he used various advanced company operating systems that he
learned from there to actively engage in R&D to develop new items and new
products with improved performance.
Electrosurgical device DE-400
This year, many new products like
pharmaceutical infusion pumps and energy device systems will be launched.
The syringe pump (Medifusion DS-5000) to be
released is a product mainly used in ICUs, emergency rooms, and anesthesiology
departments when injecting a small amount of drugs with a very precise and
accurate time. It is equipped with a self-pain control function that allows the
patient to self-inject the prescribed pain reliever.
Energy device system MEDISONIC
MEDISONIC, an ultrasonic energy device
(MEDISONIC) that incises and coagulates tissues or blood vessels during
surgical operations using ultrasound, is to be released in Series 3 with sharp
tips and buttons added to the previously released Series 1, and Series 5 with
scissors for easy laparotomy, and MEDIPOLAR, which cuts and coagulates tissues
with electric energy and a physical blade, has been developed to expand the
range of use of end-users as well as to apply the products in various
surgeries.
KIMES is Korea's largest medical and
hospital equipment show that has made steady growth with the development of the
Korean medical industry, starting from its first in 1980. Currently, Korea's
medical industry has transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry
such as medical information systems, ultrasound machines, imaging medical
equipment, robotic medicine, AI, and rehabilitation medicine. KIMES is growing
into a world-class medical exhibition while contributing to the advancement of
the Korean medical industry. Exhibitors will showcase new technologies and new
products in the medical industry, such as advanced hospital facilities, medical
information systems grafted with IT technology, and automobile industry for
rapid patient transportation.
