Idong Brewery 1957 participated in Bar Convent Berlin (BCB2020) in Berlin, Germany held as an online exhibition from Oct. 12 to 18, and introduced the traditionally fermented Idong Rice Makgeolli.

The makgeolli from Idong Brewery is fermented in a traditional way. The makgeolli fermented using a jar is in harmony with the clean taste and body of makgeolli made by the golden ratio of rice and wheat.

The color is white and clear, and you can feel the sweet and fresh scent of plant that comes from it. Overall, it has a good balance of five tastes, very clean swallowing, and taste that goes well with charcoal barbecue.

The official introduced, "We get the water from Baegun Valley in Idong-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, where is famous for its clear water. We make makgeolli from the rock water drawn from 200m underground, so the taste is clear and soft, with refreshing aftertaste."

He then added, "It is a fermented liquor that is naturally fermented by microorganisms from rice or wheat as its main ingredient. It contains necessary amino acid protein and vitamin B complex very useful for people, so it is a liquor that's helpful for people's health."

The International Bar and Beverage Trade show (BCB2020) is an exhibition of the alcoholic beverages and the beverage industry with a long history, and people in the bar and pub industry participate in various related programs. Due to COVID-19, it will be held online this year, and a series of exhibitions in the UK (Imbibe), Brazil, and the US will also be held at the same time, attracting buyers from all over the world.

As a part of the export consortium project replacement project, KBIZ gave support to participate in BCB2020 in an effort to develop overseas sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises that are going through difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and enhance export vitality.
