New attempt to promote Korean companies to domestic and foreign markets in post-coronavirus era!
Medical Devices Industry Fostering and
Innovative Medical Devices Supporting Act came into effect on May 1. It is
expected to be a starting point for accelerating the development and
commercialization of innovative products in Korea's medical device industry,
and it will foster the medical device industry and expand new treatment
opportunities. It is meaningful in the way that it accelerates the development and
commercialization of innovative products and industrial development at the
present time when the medical device companies are actively developing
technologies and entering the global market.
For this, MIK HOT SPOT, the online
exhibition for investment and business expansion of the innovative companies in
KHIDI Health Industry Startup Innovation Center that will lead Korea, opened on
April 30. As the business through online is rapidly growing due to the
coronavirus issue, various attempts are being made to activate online business

supporting organizations including KOTRA, KITA, and KOSMES are making various
attempts to promote online exports.

Genome & Company △ Immunomax △ Paean Biotechnology △ Edenlux △ Jeios
△ PDxen
PDxen (CEO Ahn Kwang-seong) developed the
medical device capable of predicting the presence of micrometastatic cancer
that are not observed in CT or MRI based on the biological properties of blood
cancer cells and the analysis platform using cancer organoids that can have
similar structure similar to a living environment by analyzing the sensitivity
of cancer cells in blood to anticancer agent based on the genetic analysis of
blood cancer cells.
△ Genome & Company
Genome & Company was listed in KONEX in
just three years and attracted Series C investment in just five years of
business. It has even signed contracts to cooperate in clinical trials and

To produce the virus vaccine highly
efficiently, Immunomax selected specific genes related to productivity through
big data analysis. Through genetic manipulation, it has established a platform
technology that can produce 2-3 times more virus vaccines or antibodies than
existing animal cell lines. This technology is an important technology that can
quickly respond to the outbreak of a pandemic virus such as COVID-19, and is an
excellent platform technology that enables rapid and mass production of treatment
drugs.

anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer drugs based on mitochondria separated from
human umbilical cord-mesenchymal stem cell (UC-MSC). Mitochondria therapeutics
is a therapeutic agent based on mitochondria separated from stem cells, and
includes PN-101 for an inflammatory rare disease called multiple myositis and
PN-102 for sepsis.
△ Edenlux
Edenlux's vision-enhancing device uses
special optical technology to strengthen muscles by repeating the contraction
and relaxation of the muscles in the eye. It improves the eyesight by improving
the focusing strength of the eyes. This product directly stimulates the muscles
involved in the control of the lens in the eye. In addition to hardware, users
can use a variety of content by providing an application that works with
Bluetooth.
△ Jeios
Jeios' immune level analysis prediction
platform MotionCore was developed based on AI-based human dynamic
characteristics medical data analysis solution and exclusive sensor fusion
technology and machine learning application technology. It is a smart
healthcare device that precisely derives the physical condition of an
individual reflecting clinical academic standards by calculating quantitative
information on body indexes like muscles, joints, and nerves.
