VillageBaby received the support from Sogang University Startup Support Group to exhibit at GITEX 2019 from Oct. 6 to 10 to introduce the pregnant mothers and baby gift service Babybox and its platinum cured silicone CLACCUP.

Babybox is a service that curates safe pregnancy and maternity-related supplies and sends birth gifts with instructions on how to use them and the reasons for recommendation.

It analyzes the trend of maternity products based on the data and composes the products with the verification of professional MDs.

CLACCUP is a tumbler cup made with platinum curing silicone, a baby bottle material, to solve the problem of heaviness in other tumblers.

When folded, it can be reduced to a height of 5 cm, and the volume is whopping 500 ml.

The silicone cup and the support can be separated for easy washing and it can also be heat cleaned. It does not make any noise, so it can also be used in the library or reading room.

Village Baby Lee Jung-yoon said, "In the UAE, the gift culture is so widespread that it is mandatory to go to hospitals with gifts when women give birth. We are happy to find this culture in the Middle East as this gives us more potential for business."

"We also built network with our logistics, distribution and marketing partners who can collaborate from a long-term perspective, and, first of all, it helped us to identify the SNS marketing characteristics of the Middle East influences which would've been hard to do otherwise."

In its 39th year, GITEX 2019 was attended by more than 4,500 companies from 140 countries, and it is the major ICT exhibition in the Middle East and Africa sought by 100,000 overseas buyers.

A wide range of products and technologies from home appliances to telecommunications equipment, IT, and Industry 4.0 are displayed. Also, GITEX Future Stars, with more than 750 startups, 400 large investors and global accelerators, also took place.

The incubator Sogang University Startup Support Group that participated in Gulf Information Technology Exhibition was selected as the best incubator for 14 years by MSS since 1999. It has helped new startup companies to establish stable foundations and promote growth.
