Seoul Food 2019, the largest food industry show in Korea, ended on May 24 with the accumulated number of visitors of 40 thousand.
Beginning on May 21 and held for four days, the exhibition was set up by 1,532 food and food equipment companies from 40 countries, taking up a total of 3,008 booths.
Auxiliary events to show the global trend and technology in the food industry also took place. Also, Seoul Food Awards was held to congratulate food companies with outstanding food-related products and services for their excellence.
The export consultation was held for two days to connect domestic and overseas buyers with high buying power and SMEs with food-related specialized products and services. A total of 1,500 consultations were set up between them to open up opportunities for new sales and distribution channels.
On the last day of the show, national food cluster investment relations and food trend seminar were held to aid in R&D activities and stimulate export in the food industry. Other interesting events include wine tasting and domestic distribution buyer consultation, all prepared to help the food industry grow bigger.
