Smithworks, the development part of the domestic high-end workspace store Smith S3, introduced its next-gen bionic design chair Pofit at the 35th International Medical Equipment & Hospital Equipment Exhibition (KIMES 2019) that runs Mar. 14-17 in COEX.
Popit chair is a high-end chair with bionic design that is equipped with step-by-step adjustment optimized for the body shape based on the big data collected from various body forms.
Here, the bionic lumbar support that covers most of the waist with the mesh was evolved to reduce the pressure of the waist with ergonomic shape and bionic structure.
In addition, the smartphone application that is to be launched in April will provide guidance on bionic lumbar support position adjustment, notification of incorrect seating position through color, analysis of sitting posture type statistics, and correct seating orientation guide.
A staff from Smithworks said, "We are providing guidance on correct posture along with how to use the chairs based on data of 1000 males and females each from Asians and Westerners for the optimized correction of posture with Pofit. We heard that many orthopedic surgeons have been impressed with our product and said they would recommend it to their patients."
