The 35th International Medical Equipment & Hospital Equipment Exhibition (KIMES 2019) began on Mar. 14 at COEX for four days.
KIMES 2019 held under the theme "Meet the Future," includes about 1,000 exhibitors including 695 domestic manufacturers, 129 companies from the US, 185 companies from China, and 84 companies from Germany exhibiting about 30,000 high-tech medical equipment, hospital facilities, medical information system, health care rehabilitation equipment and medical related goods.
The show is organized jointly by Korea E&EX, KMDICA, and KMDIA and sponsored by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Seoul Metropolitan Government, KOTRA, KHIDI, and KMA.
Along with the show, Medical Korea 2019, a global health care and medical tour symposium hosted by Ministry of Health and Welfare and organized by KHIDI was also held at Grand Intercontinental Parnas Hotel.
Celebrating the 10th year, the topic of this year's symposium is "Global Healthcare Discover the Next" in the age of Industrial 4.0, seeking cooperation to prepare for new medical market discussing the actions and new-technology based medical service. About 60 domestic and overseas (17 from overseas, 37 from Korea) specialists are participating.
There are 10 sessions in two areas ranging from healthcare industry like medical education and foreign patient service and specialization of dentistry, oriental medicine, and thyroid-endocrinology.
