Hosted by Gyeonggi-do and SMBCA, and supervised by GBSA and KOTRA, Korea's largest scale SME Excellent Product Exhibition, 'G-FAIR KOREA 2018 (GFK 2018)' opened on the 24th at KINTEX in Goyang, in Exhibition Center 1 (Halls 1~3), and was active for 4 days.
At the opening ceremony held at 11 o' clock, Governor of Gyeonggi-do Jaemyung Lee, Counselor Olga Ozhigalo of the Embassy of Belarus, Counselor Claude Ganza of the Embassy of Rwanda, Counselor Claudia Fifea of the Embassy of Romania, Chairman Gwangju Jo of the Gyeonggi Science and Technology Committee, Mayor Seongho Lee of Yangju, Mayor Changhwa Park of Pocheon, President Hwayang Kim of Kyeongin Ilbo, President Hangchul Shin of Kyeonggi Ilbo, Chief Director Gookhwan Bae of GBSA, Junmo Park the Amazon Global Selling Representative, and other related people added up to be 40 people who made it a more special occasion.
GFK, which had sought to install a special hall for new growth engine to celebrate the event's 20th year anniversary, and to change the exhibition from a domestic one to an international one, now sought to install a 'E-Commerce Hall' to expand their export channels with not only manufacturing products, but various new content industries (IT, games) as well, and showcased their future industry and electronic commerce services.
Particularly, this year's GFK 2018 attracted attention by expanding support to the social underprivileged groups, such as setting priority for support for corporations for disabled persons, support for small business owners, and for discovering new collaborative organizations in order to encourage participation by various groups. On top of this, they expanded the range of opportunities to expand into the domestic and overseas market through the 'Purchasing Consultation', which will have around 140 companies from social commerce companies, homeshopping, public organizations, and others, and the 'Export Consultation', which will have participation from 747 overseas buyers that were selected based on the FTA region.
Amazon Korea's Global Selling Representative, Junmo Park, has said, "I am happy to be assisting in the development of companies within Gyeonggi-do who seek to enter the overseas online market," and continued on to say, "Korea's Amazon Global Selling will provide the required assistance for companies within Gyeonggi-do to sell products to overseas consumers and establish their brand."
In response to this, a spokesperson for GFK 2018 has said, "G-Fair Korea is both an exhibition event to show the products of excellent domestic companies, and a forum of opportunities for companies to have 1:1 business consultations with key overseas buyers and to expand their market route," and said, "We hope this exhibition will act as a platform to become Asia's greatest general exhibition."
'Miss G-Fair' met many participants at '2018 G-Fair KOREA (Korea Excellent Product Exhibition)', which was held from October 24th (Wed) to the 27th (Sat) at Exhibition Center 1 of KINTEX in Goyang.
There were around 1000 companies participating in this exhibition, and were composed into the 6 themed halls of food hall, living hall, smart hall, sports/ leisure hall, fashion/ beauty hall, and the Eureka hall, which had around 1100 booths installed for agricultural and marine products, household goods, household appliances, and fashion items. In order to encourage the participation of diverse groups, we expanded support for the underprivileged, such as providing aid priority for disabled people, supporting small business owners, and finding new ones.
Meanwhile, GFK 2018, which has 840 participating companies, will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan until the 27th. The exhibition will be divided into 6 themed halls, which are the food hall, living hall, smart hall, sports/ leisure hall, fashion/ beauty hall, and the Eureka hall, which will have 1210 booths installed with agriculture and marine products, household goods, household appliances, fashion goods, and others for visitors to enjoy.
