KEPCO, participated in 'International Green Energy EXPO & LED Industry EXPO Korea' at EXCO in Daegu from Apr. 4th (Wed) to 6th (Fri) and showcased KEPCO 4.0/AMI, Smart Grid, ESS, and Others.
KEPCO is a public corporation established in 1887, and conducts research and technology development related to electric power resources development, overseas business, investment or appearance, and real estate utilization business. It also progresses SME support for infrastructure and mutual growth. The propulsion project of KEPCO, KEPCO 4.0/AMI is the platform based connected type energy service that will support the three major future business areas such as clean energy business, energy efficiency service and connected service. As the 'Energy Internet', it implements next-generation power grids and promotes practical implementation through institutional reform. Smart Grid is a next-generation power infrastructure system that enables intelligent and advanced power grids by integrating power and ICT to provide high-quality power services and maximize energy utilization.
Energy Storing System ESS Business refers to package type technical commercialization and electric high-level solution, such as system development advancement and ESS optimum engineering, maintenance technology, technology package. KEPCO is carrying out 34 projects, including overseas projects, in line with the demand for new and renewable energy in the fourth industrial revolution, and is expanding the range of projects in the UAE, Britain, and others. KEPCO plans to participate in investments in power technology, energy industry and technology exchanges at BIXP 2018, which will be held in Gwangju in October.
On the other hand, the 15th International Green Energy Expo is an exhibition specializing in renewable energy, which is representative in Korea and this year in particular, it has been integrated with LED industry exhibition, which has made the exhibition bigger. Thanks to the growth of the solar and renewable energy industry, the participating companies have increased by 30% and approx. 280 companies (800 booths) were gathered. Even overseas buyers were increased to 85 companies, by over twice than last year. At International Green Energy, the visitors can meet exhibition fields such as solar energy, ESS(energy storage system)&battery, smart greed technology, wind power, new renewable energy and at LED industry exhibition, the visitors can see items such as indoor light, outdoor light, marine fish, display, agriculture, medi-bio, sign materials.
