Philips Co., Ltd participated in 'The 34th International Medical Device & Hospital Equipment Exhibition (KIMES 2018)' held at COEX from March 15 (Thu) to 18 (Sun) presented Connected Monitoring Solution contributes to efficient patient management.
At this exhibition, Philips exhibited a broad portfolio of healthcare solutions ranging from a variety of imaging solutions, connected monitoring and health informatics solutions to personal healthcare solutions.
Especially, Connected Monitoring Solution, which attracted the attention of visitors, connects several central monitoring systems such as hospital intensive care units, emergency rooms, wards and so on, centered on the patient monitoring platform PIIC iX (Philips IntelliVue Information Center iX). The solution not only allows multiple units to be connected within a single hospital, but also provides integrated management of patient monitoring data across multiple hospitals across the nation.
The platform is also linked to dedicated applications such as Mobile Caregiver and Mobile CareEvent, allowing medical staff to monitor patients in real time, anywhere in the hospital with mobile devices. If an anomaly occurs in the patient, the alarm will ring on the mobile device to help the patient manage more promptly and systematically.
On the other hand, KIMES is Korea's largest medical equipment and hospital facility exhibition which has grown steadily with the development of the Korean medical industry since its opening in 1980. The nation`s medical industry is now transformed into a technology-intensive high-tech industry, with medical information systems, ultrasound detectors and imaging medical devices, robotic medicine, AI and rehabilitation drugs. As KIMES contributes to the advancement of the Korean medical industry, it has become a world-class medical exhibition. At this exhibition, the participants will showcase new technologies and products from the medical industry, including high-tech hospital facilities, IT-enabled medical information systems, and the automotive industry for rapid patient transportation.
