'Coding&Play' has been chosen in advance of the 'BEST OF MIK CES TOP10', scheduled to participate in 'CES 2018 (Consumer Technology Show)', the world's largest IT exhibition, that will take place in Las Vegas, the USA from 9th to 12th of January.
'Coding&Play' will introduce the curriculum content of coding education for children at CES. As the coding education has drawn attention, there was the appearance of coding education training using assembled robots, sensors and parts as well as the scratch service and various smart toys. It, however, has been difficult for the children under 10 to learn or there has been no consistent education due to the insufficient contents of hardware-centred training.
Coding&Play developed coding education materials using OID sensors and Albert in order to learn the concepts of computing that are essential in coding education from the early age. The curriculum lets children at an early age develop the ability to think logically and progress gradually to learn the difficult coding skills.
Coding&Play has a 3-level coding curriculum designed for children aged 4 to 9, providing a monthly material with sticker and attachment. It is a content developed for teaching children in school and education institutions. It also has various subjects including society, science, nature, and so on for the children at an early age in order to learn coding by Albert.
'Coding&Play Junior' is a content that enables children to learn card-coding, the application of block programming languages, and various EPL (Educational Programming Language). Users are provided three monthly books: The storybook, the unplugged book, and the workbook. The storybook gives the motive for problem-solving and the stories related to computing thinking. The unplugged book provides the principle of computing thinking without a robot or a computer. Finally, the workbook lets children train the coding in-depth with actual coding activities. Various subjects provided monthly are linked to the STEM.
An official said: "For CES this year, we are participating together with Wyss Institute Root Robotics, Technology development institution in Harvard University, USA. Through that, we are going to launch the 'ROOT robot' exclusively with coding&play's second half year curriculum of coding in South Korea. 'Root robot' unveiled after 7 years of development for the coding education only and it can control more than 50 sensors and actuators by an application invented on our own."
Coding&play is a specialised brand for children's coding education, providing the curriculum content of coding education by utilising Albert, smart robot. In order to develop computing thinking that is essential for coding education and foster the ability for problem-solving, they have invented systematic curriculum by combining easy and fun topics with elements of the STEM. They also have over 30 institutions for coding education and are expected to expand their institutions up to 100 in 2018 when their new and various line-up is announced.
Meanwhile, "BEST OF MADE IN KOREA CES TOP10" selected only 10 companies among CES 2018 exhibitors by Aving News and foreign reporters such as the US and China considering the trend of the company, growth rate, and prospects. During the exhibition period, each media will select the TOP 3 through final screening and announce it officially on the last day of the exhibition.
CES, the world's largest IT exhibition, is an exhibition of trends in the global consumer electronics industry, held annually in January by the American Consumer Technology Association (CTA). Aving News reported the most issues of CES, MWC, and IFA, which are world's top three tech exhibitions, during last 11 years. It is sending special reporters to CES for this year as well; reporting major issues in the world market and introduce Korea's major companies all over the world.
