Kookmin University Foundation Support Team (Foundation Leading University) participated in 'MIK 2017 Conference & Networking Party' held at Yangjae The-K Hotel on November 29 to support excellent beneficiary companies. Kookmin University Foundation Support Team has been playing a role in fostering urban innovation type global innovation convergence start-up by discovering (pre) founders who are full of novel ideas and passion for their business and supporting systematic foundation education and various foundation support programs.
This group has participated in the MIK conference to meet the trend of increasing number of graduates and beneficiary companies hoping to enter the global market, where they provided global networking opportunities with investors and business media to excellent beneficiary companies and provided PR opportunities through global media. Origin Pics and Swallaby (Walkon) are among the companies that received support for this MIK event. Origin Pics was also recognized for its excellence as they received Global Media Award from Ubergizmo, a leading US tech/IT/start-up media.
Origin Pics unveiled the 'Smartphone Video Global Copyright Sharing Platform', a process that sends images captured on smartphones at the 100% fact-free state without forgery. This product is a smartphone reporting process that cannot be forged or falsified physically, and can automatically edit hundreds or thousands of reporting photos in batches in concurrent reporting environments such as a disaster. In addition, it can automatically generate news texts (2 sentences) along with images only with app shutter one-touch.
Swallaby showed the 'Walkon' based big data technology. Walkon analyzes the user's time, place, and behavior and provides customized contents. It also automatically records and analyzes the user's walking, sleeping time, power walking, and inactivity time.
Kookmin University Foundation Support Team plans to keep excavating, fostering, financing, and supporting high potential start-ups that aim at the global market in 2018. This group is going to support news reporting and video support, global media press pitching, and business networking. Lee Min-seok, a professor at Kookmin University, said, "I will try to find advanced technology items that can lead Korea's future growth engine to contribute to overseas business development and job creation for young people."
Meanwhile, the MIK event invited 50 Vietnamese C to C buyers, who are buyers and have a great influence on the purchase of consumers and made a great success as a combination of online conventions and off-line press conferences.
