'Established' as the largest Bio-pharmaceutical industry convention based on innovation.
The domestic bio-pharmaceutical industry has already grown into a leading global market, and 'BIO KOREA', the largest bio convention in Asia, is at the center.
BIO KOREA 2017, which celebrates its 12th anniversary this year, is jointly hosted by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Chungcheongbuk-do. It is a large-scale international event with more than 25,000 participants from 45 countries, including Korea's leading companies and global bio-industry related companies and research institutes. Major domestic companies include Chong Kun Dang, Hanmi Pharm, Daewoong Pharm, Yuhan Corp, Samsung Medical Center, etc.
BIO KOREA 2017 attracts our attention because it has prepared not only an exhibition, but also various other concurrent events. In addition to an invest fair, which will be held to promote domestic bio venture companies, and a business forum, a forum for cooperation and contract among the participants, this event is composed of various programs including ▲Job Fair ▲Med Tech Fair ▲Med Lab KOREA 2017 ▲PICE KOREA.
In particular, the conference program attracts our attention as it is held under the theme of 'Bio-health Industry Ecosystem Innovation'. This conference which will be held at the Conference Room in the third floor of COEX (South Gate), will have prestigious speakers give talks and debates under 13 themes including regulation, technology and capital innovation. Through this, it will lead the latest technology exchange and trends, strengthening global bio ecosystem.
The PICE KOREA Conference, which includes discussions and consulting for successful overseas market entry, invites foreign pharmaceutical experts (GPKOL Members) to provide global market entry and discussion as well as 1 on 1 consulting opportunities.
JOB FAIR will be also held as a concurrent event in the exhibition hall for the purpose of finding and cultivating talented people who will be responsible for the future of the domestic bio industry. In the previous year, more than 2500 job applicants and 50 companies attended JOB FAIR in BIO KOREA 2016, and among them, 158 people were considered to be employed. Therefore, through this year's JOB FAIR, excellent human resources are expected to join appropriate bio-related companies, and provide a foundation for further growth in domestic bio-industry.
As we've entered the era of the fourth industrial revolution, 'bio' is emerging as a key element of new food for humanity. With the prospect that domestic bio-pharmaceutical industry will accelerate in line with the current trend, the expectation toward 'BIO KOREA 2017' is higher than ever before. It is expected that BIO KOREA 2017 will not only achieve technological developments, but will also lead the global bio market, presenting a new paradigm.
