PIUM LABS is participating 'MWC 2017', which will be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 27 to March 2 as a co-management of K-ICT Device Lab, and launches Smart Diffuser.
PIUM LABS' Smart Diffuser is a service that recommends and provides fragrances according to its users' daily life patterns. Based on users' location information within cell phones, fragrances that match users' life patterns can be easily selected. Also, it is very convenient since it automatically provides fragrances according to their life patterns.
An easy and convenient aromatherapy can be experienced through using Smart Diffuser. For example, filling a bedroom with the fragrance of rosemary in the morning helps you to have fresh mind as you wake up, and the fragrance of lavender contributes to deep sleep. When you go to work, diffusing fragrances stops automatically. The fragrance of Sandalwood, which is diffused by the time of your arrival to your office, creates an environment that can help you to concentrate when working.
In January 2016, the development of this product started as an idea from Future Play, a technology-based startup/investing institution, and applied for three patents on technology that provides fragrance contents for smart homes, healthcares and VR fields. In July, after examining technology development potential and feasibility review through a prototype, it was incorporated in October. Since then, it was selected as a startup support program (Creative Square) by Samsung's wireless communication division, and the research development on fragrance recommendation algorithm by customized situation and fragrance blending technology by control is in progress. The possibility of Smart Diffuser will be spread through its first showcase at MWC 2017, and it will advance to the market in full-scale through the crowd funding during the second half.
The global news network Aving News, which has delivered the most number of news issues from CES, MWC and IFA, the world's top three tech exhibitions over the past decade, will also send a special report team to the MWC to report on major issues in the market. Also, as part of the 'MADE IN KOREA & MADE BY KOREA' project, we will find companies from Korea that participate in the exhibition and introduce them to the world.
