IMG introduced the gelato ingredients, gelato makers, and showcases from IMG Cooperative at Coex Food Week 2016, which runs Nov. 2-5 at COEX.

IMG is the acrobym of "Il Miglior Gelatiere" and it means "making the best gelato". It is a cooperative of people who wanted to overcome the crises of Korea's cafe industry.

It was founded to contribute to the development of the cafe industry with gelato. The cooperative helps reduce distribution margin, stabilize the retail price, handle leftover ingredients, invent new side menu, minimize the initial investment, do cooperative marketing and promotion, and offer training and technical support.

The members of IMG get to learn how to make high-quality Italian gelato, and will receive the mark of certification. Also, through cooperative marketing, both the individual shop and the gelato industry will grow. IMG also offers many other activities like gelato contest, trade show exhibition, and gelato making classes and permits.

Under this year's theme, "Variety of Tastes", Coex Food Week is the venue to seek the future value and direction of the food industry, with a wide array of food, beverages, food-related packaging and equipment. It has also prepared conferences, consultations, and events to interact with the exhibitors and visitors.
