Happy Baobab (www.happybaobab.com) showcased various educational board games at "EDUCARE & KIDSFAIR (hereafter COEX EDUCARE)", which ran for four days from Thursday the 10th to Sunday the 13th at COEX in Seoul.
The company started as a board game developer in 2004, and has created and distributed about 40 kinds of board games. The board games are largely categorized for use in education, family time, camping, and travel. There are also board games for Korean education courses, special education, and specific age groups.
Furthermore, the company developed board games with special purposes -- for example, living expenses, asset management, and stock markets for public organizations, educational institutes, and private companies.
Happy Baobab CEO Lee Geun-jeong came up with these various board games. He thought the company should target a certain group or people, as there is no party culture in Korea. So, the company gathered economic information from social studies and math textbooks of American elementary and middle schools, and reflected that information into the board games.
Children can focus for hours on what they think is fun and interesting. The company's board games take advantage of this aspect. They stimulate the children's imagination, and give motivation. The games' various colors, words, and calculations of multiplication tables can stimulate a child's brain.
At this exhibition, Happy Baobab showcased various board games at reasonable prices.
EDUCARE & KIDSFAIR is the largest exhibition for children in the country. Various domestic and international products, contents, seminars, and experience classes from famous brands are being offered in one place. At this exhibition, SNS is actively utilized through a special Kakao Talk event, and there are plenty of other conveniences for visitors. The event provides the best sights and sounds for those who are interested in childhood education.
