
SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- <Visual News> KICOM(www.kicom.co.kr) held a press conference to introduce 'GREENFAX', its innovative FDMS(Fax Document Management System) service in Korea market.
GREENFAX provides the fax document transmission feature over telephone line just as normal facsimile system does, yet its convenience and security features are noticeably improved. 
When a GREENFAX terminal is connected to the PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network - ordinary telephone line) and the internet (or intranet), the users will be able to receive and send faxes using the GREENFAX homepage, which can be accessed by simply clicking on the IM-style notification window on their PC desktops.
It is also possible to perform the fax tasks through the homepage even when the users are away from their offices. Mobile fax service, which will soon be introduced by the company, is the ubiquitous service that will enable the subscribers check the incoming fax using their mobile phones anywhere.
In ordinary fax machine system, there has been great number of security accidents such as loss or theft of important documents. In GREENFAX system, a user can simply do the fax task using his/her own PC without printing a page. 
GREENFAX service is available at approximately USD 20-30 per month in Korea market. According to the company, it is similar to the money that most of offices spend to purchase toner, ink, and paper to print their fax document using the ordinary fax machines.
