SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- <Visual News> Korea Game Developers' Association (President Seung-Hoon Lee) finished its closing ceremony in success at COEX, Samsung Dong, Seoul held from September 13 to 15, confirming once again that the 'Korea Games Conference 2010 (KGC2010)' was indeed a global celebration for game developers.
This year's KGC2010 consisted of a total 120 lectures in 13 tracks, and about 6,000 people participated, including 300 foreign participants from around 20 countries such as USA, Japan, China, Germany, Canada, Russia, Finland, etc, during the 3 days the celebration was held.
This year's participants were distributed over a broad range of area, from relations of the game industry to the general population & students interested in game developing varying in age, sex, career, thus proving that the demand for professional game lectures of high quality has increased by large amounts. Such growth of lecturers and participants at KGC provided a meaningful moment in acknowledging KGC's status as a globally renowned game conference.
KGC, which has celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, has decided on its 2010 theme as 'Games Are Alive!', stating that "they wanted to search a new direction where games could breath in, change• develop with the society, and inquire into the game industry's future with diverse professionals". The celebration proceeded for 3 days with many internal •foreign developers •professionals of the game industry participating to search for solutions for the development of the future game industry, and finished in success.
In addition, exhibition areas were prepared this year for participating various corporations •institutions such as TRINIGY, Autodesk, NVIDIA, EPIC Games, Electronics Telecommunications Research Institute, Samsung Electronics, Net Tension, Scale Form, Natural Motion, Game Base, etc. Times for advertising corporations •technology sharing moments were provided.
KGC, now Asia's best conference, stated that it will strive to retain their current status of the best game development conference in Asia, and keep growing to become a global conference with as similar a capacity as the GDC, held at the beginning of every year in USA.
