International CTIA WIRELESS to take place in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, USA (AVING Special Report on 'CTIA 2010') -- <Visual News> International CTIA WIRELESS is taking place March 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Partner events are beginning Monday, March 22.

CTIA-The Wireless Association is the international association for the wireless telecommunications industry, representing carriers, manufacturers and wireless Internet providers. CTIA is also recognized as the producer of two annual expositions. Celebrating 25 years as the premier global mobile marketplace, International CTIA WIRELESS 2010 brings together all industries advanced by wireless technology for three days of intense business.

This year, International CTIA WIRELESS will host hundreds of multinational companies demonstrating their products and services on the show floor and in technology pavilions. The exhibit floor will include country-specific pavilions, featuring the most innovative mobile developments from Canada, China, Ireland, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan and the United Kingdom, among others.

With the mobile applications market slated to top $25 billion by 2014, according to Juniper Research, International CTIA WIRELESS 2010 has launched Apps World—a comprehensive mobile application marketplace for thousands of developers, carriers, manufacturers, app stores and buyers. Apps World will feature exhibits, hands-on programming, demos and networking opportunities.

As wireless innovations continue to influence everyday life, this year, International CTIA WIRELESS 2010 will turn the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center into "Innovation Hall." Innovation Hall will house CTIA's morning keynote sessions, afternoon networking receptions and three specialty zones: Apps World, the Retail Zone and the Emerging Technology Zone.

Apps World will host companies demonstrating the newest mobile content and platforms, social networking and application delivery solutions, along with learning centers that will foster education within the developer community. The Retail Zone will provide retailers with a one-stop shop for all things retail - from mobile solutions that make the business of retail more efficient, to accessories and other wireless products in high demand. The Emerging Technology Zone will give attendees a glimpse into the future of mobility spanning vertical markets

A global group of carrier CEOs will take to the keynote stage, including executives from AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Sprint Nextel and Telefónica discussing advancements in the global mobile marketplace.
